As a mom of five, life can get pretty hectic! I remember when my older three were little, I bought them each a closet organizer from Avon that had slots for each day of the week. Back then, they weren’t wearing uniforms, so finding 15 outfits for them, plus five for me, was no small task! Now that they’re all older (hello, adults and teenagers), I’m back in the game with my two younger ones—and yes, we’re back to uniforms, which definitely makes things easier.

I created a DIY clothes rack that’s been a lifesaver. I used a KALLAX Shelf unit from IKEA and Clothing Rack Dividers from Amazon, and I added labels with the days of the week using my Cricut Maker 3. It’s all set up in my bedroom for easy morning access, and it’s been a total game-changer.

My Sunday reset routine is key. I wash the kids’ school clothes separately so they don’t get mixed up with everything else (A week’s worth of outfits in a snap). I make sure I have all five uniforms—bottoms, tops, jackets, and nap-time sheets. Then, I iron everything (this takes about 30 minutes) and hang the outfits in order by day (insert picture and link).

I have a boy and a girl, so they each have different colored hangers and tags to keep things organized. Every morning, I just grab their clothes (or my daughter does), and they get dressed quick. I also use a storage bin at the bottom of the rack to keep all their socks in one place.

This mom hack has saved me so much time every morning! We’re all dressed and ready to head out the door in 30 to 40 minutes—including breakfast and our morning routine (washing faces, brushing teeth, and doing hair).
